tech question for ya [26 Dec 2009|07:44pm] sympolarbear [ mood | annoyed ] So I have a few files from my old laptop that are .avi videos. They just fine in xp and play without any issue. Now while trying to clean stuff and put them on my new laptop that is vista and the vids in VLC (my typical player) give sound but no video. I have tried them with windows media player, quicktime, real player and all either give sound/no video or just wont play. I have downloaded k-lite for looking for a codec if that's whats missing and still no luck. Yet its not a file error as I have put them on a flash drive and checked back and forth xp=fine, vista=no picture. I have also had them tried in windows 7 and same result. Before anyone asks no I can not share these to see whats missing. So any ideas? post comment
